How Tessoku handles personal data.
Who we are
Tessoku, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Tessoku”, “we”), runs tessoku.com and decides how the personal data described here is used. For anything about this notice, write to legal@tessoku.com.
What we collect
When you visit the site. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without storing your IP address. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time to run and protect the service.
When you use the contact form. We keep what you type: your name, your email address, and any company, role, topic or message you add. We use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list.
When you email us. We keep the emails you send and what you attach, including job applications, to reply to you and, for an application, to consider you for the role.
Bot checks. Vercel BotID checks whether a contact form submission comes from a person or a program. A submission it marks as a program is kept but not emailed to us.
In your browser. The site sets no cookies. It remembers one setting, whether motion is on or off, in your browser’s local storage, and that setting never leaves your device.
Why we use it
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us and in hiring, or on the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract with you.
Who processes it
We share personal data only with the providers that run the site and our email, and only so they can do that work:
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the analytics and the bot check.
- Neon stores contact form submissions in a Postgres database.
- Resend delivers the notice of each contact form submission to us by email.
- Google Workspace hosts our email.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where it is processed
Our providers may process personal data in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and applications for as long as we need them to reply to you or to consider you for a role, and delete them sooner on request. Analytics are kept as aggregate counts.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it. Write to legal@tessoku.com. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Do Not Track
The site does not track you across other sites, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Children
The site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
